What an incredible Lemon Run! Thank you to all the runners, volunteers, and sponsors who made the 2023 Lemon Run a HUGE success! We had 680 participants overall. It was a picture-perfect day at Goleta Beach with food from local farms, Los Arroyos, Kona Ice, prizes from local businesses, and art for all ages. Proceeds from this event will allow GEF to give out $25,000 for Innovation Grants and Professional Development Scholarships to our GUSD educators. These funds put money directly into the hands of GUSD educators to help them promote innovation and better teach all levels and kinds of learners. Learn more about our Educator Grants here.
The Lemon Run is one of GEF’s events that help achieve our mission to engage the community to invest in and enhance an excellent educational experience for all students attending schools in the Goleta Union School District.
