Congratulations to Amanda Fox, Goleta’s Finest Education Professional of the Year! Amanda is a school psychologist at Foothill and Goleta Family School in the Goleta Union School District (GUSD). Her kind, patient, and compassionate demeanor touches the lives of many students, staff, and families, and has for years. She is most famous for her “lunch bunches,” friendship groups, and helping students when most needed. Amanda is known for being knowledgeable and extremely talented at what she does.
GEF hosted a fundraiser which included offering an original painting by Amber O’Neill and three cases of wine. In addition, one person at each table received a bottle of wine and a plant, which Por La Mar nursery donated to GEF, to take home. The $2500 raised by GEF at Goleta’s Finest goes directly to GUSD to support positive behavior intervention throughout the school district. Thank you to the Goleta Chamber of Commerce for inviting GEF once again to be a part of this wonderful community event. We look forward to seeing everyone next year!
