We are still mourning the deaths of 19 school children and 2 teachers from Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. Mariachis, Mexican musical ensembles, from around the region have traveled to Uvalde to play and sing in honor of those who died. The performance of song is a gesture of love. This month’s selection by author Javier Ernesto Martínez details the story of a young boy who asks his father to help him write and compose a song for a boy he loves.
